2005 Amateur and Open Versatility Rule
Starting in the 2005 FQHR Show Season exhibitors who enter both open and amateur versatility will be required to designate their conformation points to go to either open or amateur versatility, not both. In other words, conformation points will not be allowed to count twice. The exception would be if both open conformation and amateur conformation classes are offered at the show. This will also include the Roundup & Review.

Bea Shook Momrial Fund Account Established!
We are proud to announce the Bea Shook Monorail Fund has been established. After a donation from Ed Limpus and the selling of several raffle tickets by
First Missouri State Y.F.Q.H. R. Affiliate, the fund is off to a great start. The money will be used for a scholarship to be given to an outstanding FQHR Youth member. The next step will be to finalize with criteria for this scholarship.Grandma Bea
Grandma Bea, I miss you so much
And I really miss your touch
How you would tuck me in some nights
Tell me everything was all right
You meant a lot to me-you meant the world
You even cared for me when I was a baby girl
Back then I would hug and kiss you
And now I really miss you
I’m still waiting for that day
When all my sorrows go away
When I look upon your face
Because of God’s amazing grace
I’m waiting for that day you see,
When I see you again my Grandma Bea.

PERFORMANCE CHAMPION # 1 AWARDED!

PERFORMANCE CHAMPION
Quoting from the Official FQHR Rule Book:
The Performance Champion shall be awarded when a horse has earned a total of 50 points, by achieving 3 C.O.P.’s (15 pt. each) from three separate categories plus 5 conformation points. No more than 5 of the 50 points may come from the Conformation category. Points for this award may be earned at the Roundup & Review or affiliate level. To qualify for this championship, horses must be entered in approved FQHR Roundups and events.
Performance Champion Award #1, that’s right the very first Performance Champion Award has been awarded to FQHR #1308 Wimps King Buck. The 1981 Bay Stallion owned and rode by Mindy May Costello has accumulated 3 COPs in Cutting, Ranch Pleasure and Handy Ranch Horse in the Oklahoma Affiliate. Wimps King Buck also has 12 Conformation points in the OKFQHRA. It is not surprising the Wimps King Buck would be the first to win the award when you consider that Wimps King Buck has a total of 146 points. This award not only recognizes the hard work and natural talent of Mindy and Wimps King Buck but it also signifies the dedication to the FQHR and the OKFQHRA that Mindy has. Congratulations Wimps King Buck and Mindy May Costello.
